In the heart of Düsseldorf, right at Konrad-Adenauer-Platz 1, the KAP1 stands as a cultural hub, housing not only the FFT but also the new Central Library. Hallcube has equipped this modern space with custom-made LED displays that are both functional and aesthetically appealing.
Specifications and Design of the LED Displays
In the impressive cold hall of the entrance area, two LED displays have been installed, each 1 meter wide and 4 meters high. Above the entrance doors, two additional displays, each 1.5 meters wide and 2 meters high, are prominently featured. All displays feature P2.6 high-brightness technology, ideal for semi-outdoor use behind the glass façade.
The installation of the displays took place under challenging conditions: with limited space and at a height of 17 meters, the work had to be completed at night to avoid disrupting daily operations. Despite these challenges, a sleek design for the back panels was achieved, seamlessly blending with the modern architecture of the building.
Cloud-Controlled Content for Dynamic Interaction
Another highlight of this installation is the cloud-based content management system, allowing for real-time updates of information and event announcements. This not only supports the library’s role as an information center but also reinforces its position as a vibrant meeting point for culture and education.
Conclusion
The LED displays at the Central Library KAP1 are more than just informational spaces; they are an integral part of the digital advancement within the library world. With their cutting-edge technology and elegant design, they significantly enhance the atmosphere and improve the user experience for both visitors and staff alike.
